Over the past year, the City has engaged the community to envision and shape the future of housing in Costa Mesa. This input has informed proposed updates to the City’s Zoning Code, Specific Plans, and some General Plan Elements, as well as new Objective Design Standards. While the public comment period for Draft Zoning Updates and Draft Housing Element is now closed, the draft documents remain available for viewing. The NWWAB Draft Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) Public Review Period is open through August 3, 2026. For more information, click below.
