Housing Element for Public Review

In order to comply with state law, the City of Costa Mesa must amend its Housing Element to reflect the addition of new sites. A draft of the proposed Housing Element Amendment is available for public review and comment between June 8, 2026 to June 15, 2026 at the links below and at City Hall (77 Fair Dr, Costa Mesa, CA 92626). The public is invited to submit written comments during the review period in the provided comment box or by email to neighborhoods@costamesaca.gov. Public hearings at Planning Commission and City Council to adopt the Housing Element Amendment are anticipated in the summer of 2026.
