Round 2 Community Workshop - Monday, March 2
The City of Costa Mesa invites residents, business owners, and community organizations to participate in three upcoming community visioning workshops.
These events will focus on the community’s vision for new housing and mixed-use development opportunities, and how local regulations shape neighborhoods and the built environment with a series of interactive exhibits and activities to foster conversations about housing design.
Discussions will explore how regulations influence building height, building placement through setbacks and orientation, open space, uses and activities, and other elements that influence the look and feel of future developments. Participants can expect engagement on:
• Potential development regulations crafted from community input in Round 1;
• Visual representations of housing and mixed-use development types; and
• Additional opportunities to share ideas and priorities around future housing and mixed-use development.
Community input gathered during Round 2 will be used to further refine future development regulations. All three community workshops will present the same information and feature Spanish interpretation. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend the session most convenient for them during any of the following dates and times:
